DOA Policy

DOA Qualifies When…

Failure occurs within 7 days of purchase date

Manufacturing defect confirmed — main hardware found defective

No physical damage on the product

Serial number intact and unaltered

DOA must be reported within 48 hours of failure

Requires approval from ASC and company technical team

DOA is not applicable if the product has liquid damage, physical damage, or if the issue is minor, software-related, or accessory-related only.

Warranty Coverage & Exclusions

Understanding what is and isn't covered helps you make the most of your warranty.

Covered

  • Manufacturing defects in material
  • Defects in workmanship under normal use
  • Repair of defective product
  • Replacement of defective components
  • Credit note if repair is not feasible
  • Replacement product (new/refurbished/equivalent)

Not Covered

  • Physical damage — cracks, bends, broken parts
  • Liquid damage of any kind
  • Electrical damage — voltage surge, lightning
  • Environmental damage — heat, dust, corrosion
  • Unauthorized repair or circuit modification
  • Tampered / missing serial numbers
  • Software or configuration issues
  • Transit damage

Conditional

  • Battery warranty — pro-rata basis only
  • Normal capacity degradation not covered
  • Performance limitations (WiFi speed, coverage)
  • Consumables — cartridges, cables
  • Cosmetic/surface damage
  • Missing accessories (must be reported in 48h)
Lead Acid Battery Warranty Slabs

Battery warranty is provided on a pro-rata basis. The customer's share of replacement cost increases with usage duration.

Company pays full replacement cost.
No charge to customer.
12 – 18 Months
50%
Customer pays 50% of replacement cost.
Company covers the rest.
Depreciation Policy on Replacement

If product usage exceeds 6 months, depreciation applies in case of replacement, refund or exchange. All settlements are based on depreciated value.

Customer & Dealer Responsibilities

Fulfilling these responsibilities ensures smooth warranty processing and avoids claim rejection.

Customer Must

  • Retain GST purchase invoice with serial number
  • Provide product with original packaging
  • Use product as per the product manual
  • Avoid physical damage and tampering
  • Use recommended power supply conditions
  • Report missing accessories within 48 hours of purchase
  • Collect repaired product within 7 days of intimation
  • Maintain data backup — company is not responsible for data loss

Dealer Must

  • Sell only genuine iVOOMi products
  • Provide valid GST invoice for every sale
  • Record and print serial numbers on invoices
  • Avoid selling tampered or returned goods as new
  • Assist customers with service support access
  • Maintain financial discipline with the company
  • Not make warranty commitments beyond this policy
  • Raise missing accessory claims within 7 days of receipt
Additional Policy Highlights

Replacement Policy

If a product fails more than 3 times for the same issue within warranty, a replacement may be offered. Warranty on the replacement continues for the remaining period of the original — no fresh warranty is given.

Service TAT — 45 Days

The company endeavours to complete repair and return within 45 days. If delayed beyond 45 days, the customer becomes eligible for a Conditional Credit Note or replacement product subject to depreciation.

Product Collection

Customers must collect repaired products within 7 days of intimation. Products not collected within 30 days may be treated as abandoned and can be disposed of without further liability.

Warranty Start Date

Warranty is calculated from the valid customer GST invoice date. In the absence of an invoice, it falls back to the manufacturing date or primary sale date — whichever is earlier.
